EDISON, N.J. - Menlo Park Mall announced its fall campaign to support Susan G. Komen, the world’s leading nonprofit breast cancer organization.
More than 150 Simon Malls and affiliated retail centers, including Menlo Park Mall in Edison, will be participating in a range of activities during the month of October in order to raise awareness of breast cancer.
“We are thrilled to launch our More Than Pink initiative and have been overwhelmed by the ongoing positive support this movement has garnered with our shoppers, retailers, and employees to support Susan G. Komen in its tireless efforts to save lives and end breast cancer forever,” said Amanda Anderson, Area Director of Marketing at Menlo Park Mall in a press release.
The Pink Event, on October 26 from 1p.m. to 3p.m. in Center Court, will feature mini makeovers, hand massages, bra fittings, refreshments, and pictures at a Selfie Station. Shoppers will also be able to pick a ‘Pink’ pumpkin from the pumpkin patch to decorate for a $1 donation to Susan G. Komen.
Through this campaign, Menlo Park Mall aims to support Komen’s work to save lives and reach its Bold Goal of reducing the current number of breast cancer deaths by 50 percent in the United States by 2026.
In addition to the Pink Event, Simon will donate $1 to Komen for each specially marked Visa Simon Giftcard purchased.
According to Simon Malls, in 2018 it raised more than $550,000 to benefit Susan G. Komen, all generated through the support and participation of shoppers, retailers, and employees.
