Edison, NJ – The Clara Barton Neighborhood Preservation Committee held a clean-up on Saturday. With over 35 volunteers helping in the effort, the clean-up yielded dozens of trash bags of garbage and litter. Pruning and weed removal occurred along Amboy Avenue and the volunteers also cleaned up Capestro Park.
The three hour clean-up ran from Route 1 to Woodbridge Avenue in the Clara Barton section of Edison. The event was staged at the Clara Barton First Aid Squad, located at 1079 Amboy Avenue in Edison.
According to organizers, garbage and litter along Amboy Avenue and the surrounding streets was picked up and placed into clear trash bags. A section of the Greenway, between Liddle Avenue and Jackson Avenue, was also cleaned.
