WOODBRIDGE, NJ - Opportunity New Jersey held a breakfast at the Renaissance Woodbridge Hotel in Woodbridge Friday to promote the non-partisan organization's data-based education about policy actions in New Jersey.

The event, sponsored by the Middlesex County Regional Chamber of Commerce Convention and Visitors' Bureau, featured speakers Thomas Bracken and Michele Siekerka. Bracken is the president and chief executive officer of the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce, and Siekerka is the president and CEO of the New Jersey Business & Industry Association.

Opportunity New Jersey (ONJ) supports policies that encourage job growth, affordability and prosperity in New Jersey. ONJ seeks to make New Jersey more affordable place reducing overall tax burdens by developing and maintaining a workforce where people are encouraged to stay.

Also addressed at the Woodbridge event was ONJ's efforts to effect regulation and tax reform in the state by promoting a competitive tax structure and modernizing and reforming estate and inheritance taxes. ONJ has implemented a Red Tape Commission in an effort to eliminate certain regulations the organization views as redundant and, in some cases, "onerous."
