NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - A 45-year-old city man was struck and fatally injured while attempting to cross Route 18 in New Brunswick early this morning.

Christoph Freese was attempting to cross Route 18 near Commercial Avenue at 4:52 a.m. when he was struck by a 2006 red Dodge Charger driven by a 32-year-old man from Woodbridge, according to police.

2 people beaten in New Brunswick after argument, Rutgers police say

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ  - Rutgers police are searching for a man who assaulted two people affiliated with the university following an argument early Tuesday morning.

Police said the two victims were beaten about 1 a.m. on Easton Avenue near Courtland Street.
