Edison, NJ — Local law enforcement released further information regarding the incident which occurred on Route 27 earlier today and revealed that there was a fatal hit-and-run by a tractor trailer which resulted in the death of a pedestrian driving a three-wheeled electric bike. 

 

The victim of the accident was 44-year-old Metuchen resident named Oscar Zanoni, who was pronounced dead at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the collision. 

 

The truck driver involved in the incident has been identified and is cooperating with authorities. Police Lieutenant Robert Dudash stated: “Given the size of the tractor trailers, it is possible this driver may have been unaware that a pedestrian was struck.”
