EDISON, NJ - On Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at 11:01 p.m, multiple Edison police officers responded to a call from parents regarding their out-of-control son.
Upon arrival, officers located the individual in the kitchen area of the residence. According to the police, he appeared agitated and began coughing in the direction of the officers and then stated “I have the coronavirus.” The police said he further taunted officers and stated, “I want somebody to come touch me.”
Officers, along with his parents, attempted to calm him down; however, the situation escalated and a struggle ensued, police said. According to the police, the individual began kicking and attempted to avoid being restrained, but after a brief struggle, he was subdued and placed into the rear of a police vehicle, but not before kicking one of the responding officers.
At Edison Police Headquarters, the actor refused to exit the police vehicle and once again attempted to kick officers, police said. According to police, inside headquarters he again coughed and spit at officers and stated, “now you all have the coronavirus.”
No officers were injured during the altercations. Whether the actor is actually infected is unknown at this time.
Edison Police Chief Thomas Bryan stated, “I commend my officers for their restraint in dealing with this individual. His actions are incomprehensible in this day and age and will not be tolerated. I am confident in our judicial system to prosecute him to the fullest extent.”
The actor is currently incarcerated in the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center in North Brunswick, charged with Obstruction of Law, Terroristic Threats, Three counts of Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer, and Criminal Mischief.
