Girls Basketball: J.P. Stevens Triumphs Over Old Bridge, 64-49

OLD BRIDGE, NJ - J.P. Stevens pulled away in the fourth quarter for a 64-49 girls basketball victory over Old Bridge on Monday.

Megan Duffy of J.P. Stevens (6-4) led all scorers with 31 points, including four 3-pointers. Kiarah Turner finished with 11 points for the Hawks, who outscored Old Bridge, 20-12, in the final quarter.

Smith Wins 800 and 1,600; Benoit 1st in Shot Put for Edison Boys Track at Middlesex County Track Championships

Chris Smith won two gold medals, taking first in both the 800-meter run and 1,600, and Donovan Beniot placed first in the shot put in leading the Edison boys track team to a second-place finish at the 2018 Greater Middlesex Conference Indoor Championships on Saturday.

J.P. Stevens Girls Basketball Takes Winning Record into New Year

EDISON, NJ - The J.P. Stevens girls basketball team takes a 3-2 record into the new year after scoring a pair of victories over the holiday break.

The Hawks defeated Summit, 47-42, on Thursday. J,P. Stevens jumped out to a 15-4 lead in that game, with Disha Prabhudesai leading the team with 16 points. Megan Duffy scored 14 for the Hawks.

The day before, J.P. Stevens beat Millburn, 60-39.
