Edison, NJ -  The Edison High School football team defeated Monroe 51-12 in its season-opener on Friday night.  The Eagles scored on six of its first seven possessions. Quarterback Dean Escobar accounted for three touchdowns, two by air and one by ground.   Escobar completed 8 of 15 passes for 142 yards.
