Baseball: Falco Allows Only Three Hits in Win Over J.P. Stevens

Edison, NJ - The Bears took an early lead in the first inning and they continued to build on their lead. Another dominant pitching performance for the Bears allowed them to coast to a 5-1 win over the Hawks.

In the first inning the Bears put pressure on the opposing pitcher early. Senior Ryan Flynn hit a single letting David Bermudez score the first run of the game. At the end of the top half of the first the Bears already had a 2-0 lead. EB Junior Michael Falco absolutely dominated the Hawks on the mound. To open up the game Falco had shut down the first six batters.

Michael Falco pitched a complete game without allowing an earned run and only allowed 3 hits in addition to 9 strikeouts

In the third inning EB added another run from a single from Junior Brad Edwards allowing Falco to score. In the bottom half of the third inning the Hawks answered back with a run but it was off of an error.

The Bears scored two more runs the rest of the game including a home run by Junior David Bermudez. With this 5-1 victory, the Bears are now 3-1 on the year.

East Brunswick Rabbi Charged with Engaging in Prostitution with a Child

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - Aryeh Goodman, 35, the rabbi from the  East Brunswick Chabad Learning Center has been charged with one count of engaging in prostitution with a child and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.  He was one of thirty men charged with having sex with the teenager over a four-week period.

New Brunswick Prisoner Reentry Site to Open Tuesday

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - Former Gov. Jim McGreevey, who has made prisoner reentry programs his major focus, will be on hand Tuesday to open a new site on Livingston Avenue. 

McGreevey runs the New Jersey Reentry Corporation (NJRC), a nonprofit agency serving court-involved individuals. The opening is set for 11 a.m. at  57 Livingston Avenue, Unit 3, New Brunswick, N.J.
