EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ -- The East Brunswick boys basketball team avenged an early-season loss by defeating J.P. Stevens in a rematch, 63-45, Tuesday night.

Senior point guard Travis Cumber scored 24 points for East Brunswick (5-8), which led, 30-22, at halftime and broke the game open with a 20-9 showing in the fourth quarter.

Christian Kuan finished with 12 points and Devin Kennedy scored seven for the Bears, who had lost, 49-27, to the Hawks (8-7) in the second game of the season.
