Dylan Seel Pitches Shutout In Spotswood Win Over Bishop Ahr


EDISON, NJ - Dylan Seel went the distance in the Spotswood High School varsity baseball team's 13-0 victory over Bishop Arh High School on Wednesday. Seel pitched seven innings for the Chargers, allowing only two hits. The senior struck out eight batters and helped Spotswood out offensively going 3-for-3 at the plate with a double.

Mike Izzo was 5-for-4 for the Chargers with a homerun and four RBIs. Nick Vincelli had four RBIs as well with a double while Jack Welsh was 2-for-4 with a double. Kyle Orta and Sam Rodriguez had the only two hits of the game for Bishop Ahr.

Orta shared time on the mound with Gerard Chiricolo for the Trojans. The pair game up a combined total of 13 runs on 14 hits.

The win improves Spotswood's overall season record to 10-4 and their division record to 7-1. Spotswood won the Greater Middlesex Conference Blue Division title last spring. Currently, the team is in second place in the division behind Middlesex High School.

The Chargers travel to New Brunswick on Thursday to play New Brunswick High School. Game time is 4 p.m.
