Edison, NJ – Kiarah Turner scored 20 points, including a game-winning shot with 12 seconds to go, in a thrilling 50-49 victory for the J.P. Stevens Girls Varsity Basketball team.  Megan Duffy contributed 11 points and 6 rebounds for the Hawks. Kayla Gatling added 6 points and 9 rebounds in the win.

Alyssa Bondi led East Brunswick with 17 points.  Brianna Sliwinski added 11 points, including a pair of three pointers, and Kayla Newton contributed 10 points in the loss for East Brunswick.

In a tight game, J.P. Stevens led by 4 points after 3 quarters.  East Brunswick made a push in the 4th quarter, scoring 19 points, but the Hawks were able to secure the win after Turner made the game winning shot with seconds left.    

J.P. Stevens will be on the road against South Brunswick for thier next game on January 24.
