Edison, NJ — Two rather unlikely high school girl’s basketball teams have joined together, despite past rivalries, to support the Marisa Tufaro Foundation. Both of the teams are ranked among the Top 5 in the Greater Middlesex Conference and will be collecting baby care supplies to later be transported to the Ozanam Family Shelter.
Items will be collected before February 3rd outside the Frank Cangelosi gymnasium during the freshman, junior-varsity, and varsity games. This is not the first event the non-profit organization has hosted. In fact, they have been responsible for several community initiatives in Edison; all of which have resulted in the mass allocation of much-needed charity supplies.
Quite a distinguishing feat for the Marisa Tufaro Foundation, which to date is only two years old. Already they have left an amazing impact in donating over $125,000 in efforts to help pediatric patients and children of the Middlesex County area.
