Firework Displays Set for July 4th

If you still haven't made plans, there are plenty of area fireworks displays to make your Fourth of July complete.

Asbury Park

Asbury Park is hosting fireworks viewable from the boardwalk at 9 p.m. on July 4.

Chatham

Fireworks are set for dusk at Chatham Middle School.  

Edison

Papaianni Park hosts the fun on July 4, which starts at 4 p.m. and concludes with fireworks at dusk.

Jersey City

Exchange Place in Jersey City will host music and fireworks on July 4.  Featured performers at the event include the B Street Band and Kool & the Gang.  Please note that due to the New Jersey state government shutdown, the event will be held at Exchange Place in New Jersey.  It was originally scheduled for Liberty State Park.

Long Beach Island

Beach Haven is presenting fireworks at dusk at the Taylor Avenue pavilion by the bay.

Long Branch

Fireworks are planned for 9 p.m. for July 4.

Milltown

A whole day of activities are on tap in Milltown on July 4, starting with the annual Firecracker 5K at 8 a.m., a parade down Main Street at 10 a.m., rubber duckie races in the afternoon and of course fireworks at Borough Park at dusk. Rain date is July 8.

New York City

The East River will host over 60,000 firework shells this season.  The display will be broadcast live on NBC.

State Theatre's CEO Steps Down After Four Months

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - The city’s world-renowned State Theatre is without a leader, after Anna Marie Gewirtz, acting president and CEO, stepped down in December 2017.
