PONTE VEDRA BEACH, FL - The Tim Tebow Foundation hosted its 8th annual Celebrity Golf Classic on Mar 3 preceded by a Red Carpet Gala event on Friday night.  The Tournament Player Club (TPC) at Sawgrass hosted both events on their beautiful Stadium Course and clubhouse in Ponte Vedra Beach.

Tim Tebow hosted 33 celebrities, including Urban Meyer, Kevin Sorbo, Scott Van Pelt, and many others.  In total, they fielded 24 teams.  The teams were captained by the celebrity with players made up of donors and the family of Tim Tebow.

The format was "best ball" and each tee hosted a special challenge or bonus experience.  The most popular was the lipsync competition held on the 17th hole.  Many celebrities and players cringed at the entrance of the 17th hole upon being informed of the challenge format and the required attire provided by Jockey.

With its signature Island Green on the par-3, 17th hole being one of the most recognized in golf, this legendary track has captured the imagination of golfers all over the world. It is consistently named among the top golf courses worldwide. The Stadium Course is a championship-caliber course accessible to all golf fans with a design that favors no particular player or style of play.

"This is such a special weekend that's so much more than the golf tournament," said Tim Tebow, Founder and Chairman of the Tim Tebow Foundation (TTF).  "It's a time for the TTF family to come together and celebrate what God has done through our ministry, but also to continue the momentum of changing lives.  Whether it's the sponsors, celebrities, spectators or volunteers, this weekend really is about coming together to continue to fight for those who can't fight for themselves."

Together with the sponsors, participants and spectators, this event has raised more than $10 million in just seven years to support the outreach efforts of the Tim Tebow Foundation. 100% of all net proceeds from this event directly fund the W15H Program, Timmy’s Playrooms, Tebow CURE Hospital, Orphan Care, Adoption Aid, Night to Shine and Team Tebow.  See the Tim Tebow Foundation for more information.
