ELIZABETH, NJ-Assemblywoman Annette Quijano is hosting her 2017 Annual Happy Hour Back to School Kick-Off.

The event collects school supplies for the at-risk and homeless children of the Children's Program at Bernice’s Place.  The event will take place on Wednesday, September 20, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Coalition to House the Homeless, 118 Division Street in Elizabeth.

The Elizabeth Coalition to House the Homeless sponsors Bernice's Place. Supplies needed are pens,pencils, notebooks, binders, dividers and other school supplies.

Gift cards of $25 will accepted, and will be used towards the purchase of school uniforms and shoes. This event is open to everyone in the community who would like to donate. Attendees will enjoy complimentary wine and cheese, and visit the center. Winter clothing for adults and children will also be accepted for the Elizabeth Coalition to House the Homeless. Please place items in a well-tied plastic bag or book bag.
