LINDEN, NJ – The New Jersey State Police are currently investigating a very serious accident that occurred this morning in Linden at Mile 97.5 on the New Jersey Turnpike when a vehicle left the highway, flipped, and landed in a parking lot, damaging several other vehicles.

The number of passengers is unknown at this time, but two were taken by medevac in critical condition to UMDNJ in Newark, according to State Police Sgt. 1st Class Gregory Williams.

The investigation continues with Fatal Accident and Crime Scene units at the site.

The Turnpike is not shut down.
