UNION COUNTY, NJ – The holidays got started early last weekend with Breakfast with Santa at the Portuguese Instructive Social Club in Elizabeth, Saturday, December 19. The event was hosted Union County Freeholder Sergio Granados, Councilman Manny Grova, Board of Education members Maria Carvalho and newly elected Stephanie Goncalves Benjamin and Kaitlyn, and the Garcia Family.

Later that day, Freeholder Granados and Moving New Jersey Forward hosted a free Holiday Dinner at Hillside High School, and a second free Holiday Dinner was held at Union High School, December 20. Both dinners included  holiday music, toys, and a visit from Santa.

Nothing went to waste. The surplus food was sent to help Saint Joseph Social Center in Elizabeth for their mission of feeding the needy.
