City Helps Students Get ready for School with Book Bag and Supplies Giveaways

ELIZABETH, NJ – Elizabeth school children can get a fresh start for the year ahead with new, free book bags and supplies, courtesy of the city, to be distributed this Tuesday, September 1, from 4 to 7 p.m.

Mayor Bollwage will join City Council members at the Citywide Back-to-School Book Bag & School Supply Giveaway, at nine locations: Miller Evans Logan Recreation Center, Erxleben Recreation Center, Mickey Walker Recreation Center, Elmora Racquet Club, Peterstown Community Center, O'Donnell Dempsey Senior Center, The Oaks at Westminster, Eben Ezer Seventh Day Adventist Church and Jefferson Park Day Care Center.

This event is open to all school-aged children who live in the City of Elizabeth. Each center will feature refreshments and entertainment for all. Every child must be present to receive the book bag and supplies. For more information, contact Grace Pereira 908-820-4130.
