ELIZABETH, NJ – The contributions of the Cuban community will be celebrated in Cuban Voices! a free program June 7 at The Snyder Academy of Elizabethtown at 7 p.m.

Cuban Voices is an oral history project that will record, preserve and disseminate the stories of the’59ers, the Cuban immigrants who came to Elizabeth after the Cuban Revolution.  

The event will include a performance by the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra entitled Hispanic Roots. Also on the program will be an oral history recording and remarks by Clara Fernandez, Maria Elena Bordas, and  Melinda Allen-Grote.
