ELIZABETH, NJ — John E. Dwyer Technology Academy and Admiral William F. Halsey Health and Public Safety Academy both held outdoor commencement ceremonies

“On behalf of the board I salute you, the graduates of the class of 2020” said Elizabeth Board of Education President Diane Barbosa to the Halsey Academy graduates. “We are so fortunate to be here to share this milestone moment together.”

Graduates and their families had the opportunity to celebrate the end of the students' high school careers and take photos in caps and gowns. In order to maintain social distancing the graduations had strict guidelines on where students and families could sit.
