ALLENTOWN, PA. – During a prostitution investigation in Allentown on Monday, police arrested a New Jersey man on drug possession charges.
Police charged Lordddajohn Lee, of Elizabeth, N.J., with possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, following his arrest outside a Rodeway Inn in Allentown, Pa. The 37-year-old was arraigned and bail was set at $100,000.
While conducting a prostitution investigation at the Rodeway, the Allentown Police Department’s vice and intelligence unit were directed to room 211. When police arrived, Lee was seen leaving the hotel, according to court records.
An officer was invited into the room, and the woman inside was detained and agreed to a search of the room. Police allegedly found about 120 baggies of heroin inside a nightstand, according to reports. Authorities also found plastic baggies and a digital scale inside a bag of men’s clothing.
Police detained Lee a few minutes later when he returned to the room. A search turned up a key for room 211, a cell phone, a state identification under another name and $198 in cash. Once in custody, Lee said he lied about his name.
There is no indication in court records if Lee faces prostitution charges.
Lee failed to post bail and was sent to Lehigh County Jail to await a preliminary hearing scheduled for Oct. 30.
