Elizabeth PBA Local #4 and the Mills at Jersey Gardens to Host 5TH Annual Jingle Bell Run 5K


ELIZABETH, NJ – Running around in the holiday season will have a new meaning December 6 when the Elizabeth PBA Local #4, along with The Mills at Jersey Gardens, hosts the 5th annual Jingle Bell Run at the mall on Sunday, December 6.

In the spirit of the holiday season, hundreds of runners can take part in the festive, USATF-certified 5K race to benefit the Children’s Specialized Hospital, which serves more than 19,000 children with special needs each year. 

“The Children’s Specialized Hospital is an amazing place, and we are thrilled to be able to support the hospital,” said Richard Steinke Elizabeth PBA Local #4 president. “The dedication and care the staff provides to the kids and their families is unparalleled, and we are proud to assist in their meaningful work.”

Santa will be waiting for the runners to grab their garland and join the Fun Run 8:15AM, and the 5K will officially begin at 8:30AM in the parking lot. Registration begins at 7:00AM and costs $35, $25 prior to race day, where participants will receive special Jingle Bell 5K gear, a swag bag and jingle bells to attach to shoes. 

Following the race, an awards ceremony and complimentary pancake breakfast will be served in the Dining Emporium. Over $1,000 in prizes will be awarded for top finishers in an awards ceremony that will take place at 9:30AM.  Special sponsors include IKEA and IHOP at The Mills at Jersey Gardens.

“We are excited to host the Jingle Bell Run once again,” said Crystal Fresco, director of marketing and business development, The Mills at Jersey Gardens. “The 5K is a highly anticipated event each year by our retailers and our customers to help issue in the holiday season. The funds from the run will specifically support the hospital’s martial arts program for patients with special needs.”
