The seniors are among the approximately 34,000 students who earn commended status throughout the nation each year, placing them the top five percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the competition by taking the 2014 preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).

“We are pleased to have our students recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Program for their outstanding performance on the PSAT. It is an indicator of their commitment to academic achievement,” said Kathleen Skiff, director of college counseling.
