The July session shines the headlights on “Cracking the Car Code” focusing on car care and auto safety. During this interactive workshop, Host Jen Miller, Maplecrest Ford Lincoln’s Head of Brand Transformation and Consumer Experience and members of Team Maplecrest’s award-winning service department will guide the group in a hands-on car clinic to help women get to know what’s under the hood. Speakers will address:

·       Where’s the car jack and everything else you need to know to change a tire

·       Untangling the confusion around jumper cables and how to jump start your car

·       There’s more to an oil change than a dip stick

·       Top five things everyone should know before taking a road trip

·       Q&A – Ask the Experts their secrets to “Cracking the Car Code”

Featured speakers at the event include Reuben Lewis and Giovanni Rodriguez. Lewis is an  award-winning Ford Senior Master Certified and ASE Certified Mast Tech, including Ford's prestigious 'Fix It Right The First Time," with more than 35 years of experience, with nearly half of those for Maplecrest Ford Lincoln. Rodriguez, who is Ford and Lincoln PDI Certified, has been a member of Team Maplecrest since 2013.

In the spirit of the name, Mustang Sally’s Now: Driving Women’s Leadership envisions a bold change in the traditional way women view their car buying and service experiences. Beyond that episodic transaction, we strive to help inspire a local community of women to strengthen and embrace their unique voices by mastering a variety of professional and life skills.

While many women may not want to change a tire or jump-start her car battery, knowing how to perform these important tasks gives women a true sense of empowerment; and yet, many women shy away from learning these skills. To address this issue, this month’s workshop provides an opportunity to learn valuable tips and strategies that will lead to a comfort with basic car-care safety and knowledge.

To register, please contact Marissa DeFeo, Corporate Communications Coordinator, Maplecrest Ford Lincoln at 908-964-7700 (ext 5566) or at mdefeo@teammaplecrest.com.

Other upcoming Mustang Sally's Now workshops are Learn to LIVE RICHER with the Budgetnista on Monday, September 21 and Gender Differences and Leadership Styles in Communication on Wednesday, November 11 with Sally Glick.

Light dinner generously provided by Bunny’s Sports Bar.

*There is no fee to attend the sessions; however, as partners with the United Way of Northern New Jersey’s Women’s Leadership Council, we encourage participants to consider a donation to the organization (United Way of Northern New Jersey).
