ELIZABETH, NJ – Mother Nature made her presence known Monday evening as heavy rains swept through the city, leaving flooding and downed wires in the storm's wake.
Multiple, primary live wires were reported burning in a large, flooded area at Fourth Avenue and High Street. Flooding was also reported at Spring Street (Route 1 & 9). Two vehicles were reported stranded in high water, according to Breaking News Network.
Earlier in the day, the National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Union County.
