ELIZABETH, NJ - Even before the last snowflakes fell, city workers and residents got busy doing the hard work of clean up.

While the snow was heavy and difficult to lift, it was an opportunity for neighbors to get together. Some even managed to have fun. The Huntley family of Elmora Hills made an improvised slope out of their front stairs for their children to sled down.

The city is still not back 100 percent from what has been called the “one of the worst snowstorms in New Jersey history.” Schools and the Elizabeth Public Library are closed.
