 JFS Seeks Community Garden Volunteers

Elizabeth, NJ - The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) for Union County, NJ, hosted by Jewish Family Service of Central NJ (JFS), and the JFS Family/Youth Volunteer Program, are seeking volunteers to plant, harvest and maintain the JFS Urban Community Vegetable Garden at the Jewish Family Service Halpern Building, 655 Westfield Avenue, Elizabeth, NJ.

Youth/Family Hours: Tuesday, 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM, Friday, 10:00 AM- 11:30 PM

RSVP Volunteers 55+: Monday, 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM, Thursday, 9:30 AM- 11:00 AM

The RSVP Program engages people 55+ to volunteer their services to meet critical community needs and provide a rewarding experience that will enrich the lives of volunteers. Volunteer opportunities also include: packing and delivering emergency food packages, visiting homebound seniors, tutoring school aged children, assisting with GED/ESL programs and much more.   There are many additional benefits associated with becoming an RSVP volunteer.
