ELIZABETH, NJ – Children’s Specialized Hospital was presented with a donation of $11,250 by the Elizabeth Police Benevolent Association’s Local #4 and The Mills at Jersey Gardens today, Feb. 21. The funds were raised during the 6th Annual Jingle Bell Run 5K, Dec. 21.

The Jingle Bells Run 5K was organized by Elizabeth PBA #1 and hosted by The Mills at Jersey Gardens, all for the benefit of special needs children. “The police approached us and since we work in partnership with them, it was a natural fit for us,” remembered Crystal Fresco, the director of marketing and business development for the mall. “The proceeds go to Children’s Specialized Hospital, which we are so lucky to have in our area.”

The event has become a holiday tradition attracting more than 300 runners decked out in Santa hats and jingle-belled shoes who participate in the holiday-themed USATF-certified race around The Mills at Jersey Gardens in Elizabeth.
