Maplecrest Ford Lincoln Hosts 'Cracking the Car Code: Dealing with NJ Road Emergencies' this Wed.

VAUXHALL, NJ - Maplecrest Ford Lincoln is hosting a workshop from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. this Wednesday, Jan. 13, featuring a panel of experts who know first-hand how to deal with New Jersey's tough road emergencies. 

The event, “Cracking the Car Code: Dealing with NJ Road Emergencies: Preparing Women with the Tools, Knowledge and Confidence to Tackle NJ Road Emergencies," is part of the workshop series Mustang Sally’s Now: Driving Women’s Leadership,

Panelists include local members of the American Red Cross Preparedness Team, the Union police and fire departments, as well as Maplecrest Ford Lincoln’s senior master auto technician, Reuben Lewis. The conversation will be moderated by Jen Miller, Head of the Herd, Mustang Sally’s Now: Driving Women’s Leadership.

At the workshop, participants will learn how to travel safely along New Jersey roads when emergencies arise and unforeseen catastrophes occur. Examples of topics to be covered include what to do if a car skids on ice, how to react if a deer suddenly jumps in front of the car, and safety tips for navigating flash floods.

Mustang Sally’s Now: Driving Women’s Leadership, a program fueled by Maplecrest Ford Lincoln, is a bimonthly series of workshops, featuring speakers and panel discussions designed to empower generations of Northern NJ women to build confidence and connections.

There is no fee to attend; however, as the organizers are partners with the United Way of Northern New Jersey’s Women’s Leadership Council, participants are encouraged to consider a donation to the organization (United Way of Northern New Jersey).
