ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – Among the City of Elizabeth’s representatives at the 101st Annual League of Municipalities Conference in Atlantic City were Mayor Christian Bollwage, Dave Strochak, executive director the Elizabeth Avenue Partnership (EAP) and Angel Rodriguez, EAP chairman, at the City of Elizabeth’s Kiosk.

Mayor Bollwage shared his thoughts on the event in the interview below.

“The League of Municipalities is a great way for us to network, share ideas, learn new strategies and meet vendors that will eventually help our downtown improve,” Strochak said. “There are so many great resources at this conference. It’s amazing.”

Rodriguez, who was recently named chairman of the EAP, attended the Mayor’s Urban Enterprise Zone Commission Meeting hosted by Mayor Chris Bollwage. “It was very informative,” said Rodriguez, who has been a State Farm agent in Elizabeth for the past eight years, while serving on the EAP board for the last seven. Rodriguez served as treasurer of the EAP before being named chairman.

The League of Municipalities Conference was held at the Atlantic City Convention Center Nov. 15 to 17. The New Jersey State League of Municipalities, established in 1915 by state statute, serves local officials in all of the state’s 565 municipalities.
