Register Today for Summer Youth Courses Offered at Union County College

CRANFORD – This summer the Office of Continuing Education at Union County College is expanding its course offerings for youth ages 11-18. Classes are taught by NJ-certified teachers and subject matter experts that specialize in delivering high-quality youth programs. Classes begin the week of June 25 and run through August 23.

Classes offered include Introduction to Musical Theater, Algebra Review, Better Thinker-Better Writer-Better Grades, Middle School Math Review, Design Your Own Comic Book, The Artist Within: Drawing and Sketching and The Writer Within: Creative Writing.

The College is also partnering again with Black Rocket offering Make Your First 3D Video Game, Code Breakers, Virtual Reality, and App Attack. New this year Black Rocket is offering ROBLOX Makers-Coders-Entrepreneurs, Advanced 3D Video Game with Unity, Advanced Robotics, Python Programmers: Make your Own Multiplayer Game, and App.IO: Make your First Multiplayer App.

Super Science will also be returning this year with CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Chemical Wizardry, Junior Physicians, STEM Challenges, and are offering two new programs, Oceanography and Motorized Legos. Most classes are available for students ages 11-13 and 14 and above. New this year is a partnership with Fashion Works who will team with us to offer two sessions of Fashion Sewing and Spa Science Labs.

The College will also be offering an SAT Test Preparation courses from July 23 through August 16. The SAT classes are held Monday through Thursday from 1:00 pm to 4:10 pm. The cost of the courses vary, and all classes will be held at the College’s Cranford campus, located at 1033 Springfield Avenue.
