ELIZABETH, NJ – Residents can travel through four centuries of the city’s history, Sunday, April 2, on the Historic Midtown Elizabeth Hike, beginning at 1p.m., at the first Presbyterian Church, 42 Broad Street.
The Historic Midtown Elizabeth Hike is a 1.5 mile long trail featuring many historic sites in Elizabeth including Boxwood Hall, the Belcher Ogden Mansion, and the Nathaniel Bonnel House. The two-hour walk will conclude with a tour of the First Presbyterian Church and its historic cemetery, the site where the colony of New Jersey was founded in 1664.
