ROSELLE, NJ – They ran. They walked, and they did it all for children.
The day was Sunday, April 23, the place was Warinanco Park, and the event was the Third Annual Race 4 the Children, a 5k run and a two-mile “fun walk,” all to benefit the Child Advocacy Center of Union County.
The event was hosted by the Friends of the Child Advocacy Center of Union County. The nonprofit group’s mission is to provide support for the facility at which local victims of physical and sexual child abuse receive treatment and needed services. The event is co-sponsored by the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders and the City of Elizabeth.
Union County Freeholder Chairman Bruce Bergen joined Acting Union County Prosecutor Grace Park, Union County Sheriff Joseph Cryan, Union County Public Safety Director Andrew Moran, Friends of the Union County Child Advocacy Center President Drew Ertman and Elizabeth Mayor J. Christian Bollwage at the Third Annual 5K fundraiser Race 4 the Children.
