Trailside Offers Summer Fun for Families of All Ages

MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ – School is out, and the long, hot days of summer are ahead with lots of hours for children to fill. One place to spend time is in the Trailside Nature & Science Center’s Summer Family Programs.  Union County residents can register in person daily or visit www.ucnj.org/trailside and select the Online Registration tab. 

“The Summer Family Programs at Trailside offers interactive and educational programs which teach and give the whole family an up close look at the wonders of nature,” said Freeholder Chairman Bruce H. Bergen.

Every Friday through August 12, Trailside offers Family Programs at 10:00 a.m. and then again at 1:30 p.m.  Enjoy some family time with hands-on programs such as;Bubblemania, Stream Stroll, Pond Search, Animal Neighbors and Garden Treasures.  These programs are an hour or an hour and ½ with a fee of $5.00 or $6.00 per person.
