ELIZABETH, NJ—In the wake of the devastation in Texas caused by Hurricane Harvey, Union County employees have banded together to get donations to the victims of the storm.

The employees collected and donated hundreds of pounds of non-perishable items in a regional drive that was sponsored by “Be the Change,” a non-profit community organization that collaborates on a local and national level to advance social good.

County Administrative Services employee Nathalie Hernandez, who is a member of the “Be the Change” organization at Kean University, along with county government officials organized the collection.
