ELIZABETH, NJ - Volunteers for Wreaths Across America will be honoring deceased United States veterans by laying wreaths on graves at the First Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Elizabeth on Saturday, Dec. 14.

Sponsored by the Union JFK Assembly Knights of Columbus and the Elizabeth Garden Club, volunteers from the Union Historical Society, Caldwell Parsonage, Girls Scout troops 40024 and 40812, will be among the organizations attending. Volunteers are welcomed.  

Volunteers will place wreaths on 169 veterans graves dating back to the revolutionary war.  VFW Post 2433 is again donating the flags to mark the graves.

The event will begin at 12:00 p.m. at 42 Broad Street, Elizabeth.
