ELIZABETH, NJ – A woman was stabbed in the neck-collar bone region on West Jersey Street next to the stairs that lead to the New York bound platform of the Broad Street Train Station at approximately 7:30 p.m. on June 9 according to witnesses at the scene.
“I was just skating around when I saw it happen,” said local resident Roderick Sanchez. “I never witnessed a stabbing before yesterday.”
Sanchez stated that the victim and the suspect, another female, got into a physical altercation before one pulled out a knife.
“She had her in a headlock and then pulled a knife out of her purse and stabbed her,” said Sanchez.
Right after the assailant fled the scene before police and paramedics arrived.
The victim was rushed to University Hospital in Newark and her condition is currently unknown. Check back with TAPintoElizabeth.net for further updates.
