Dear Union County Residents,

As a retired Army Officer with over 21 years of honorable active duty military service and two tours in Iraq, I know and understand what mission accomplishment is and how to achieve it. I still live by the Army values of Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage (LeaDeRSHIP) which I will bring to the office of sheriff. They are not mutually exclusive to the Army and I will apply them when elected. I served our country, I served my community as an elected official and now I want to serve you as the Sheriff of Union County.

Unlike my opponent, I’m not about party patronage, political nepotism, and pension padding. I have no political connections with those currently running Union County and I’m not, nor have I ever been employed by Union County. I do not have any family members that are or were employed by Union County and I’m not receiving a state pension. What I am about is serving all the residents of Union County with no political strings attached.

As a candidate for Union County Sheriff, my goals are simple:

1. Ensure that all the men and women that serve in the Sheriff’s Department, in and out of uniform, are taken care of and receive the training they need to do the job to protect you.

2. Continue the community programs currently established by the Sheriff’s Department with special emphasis on the opioid crisis in Union County.

3. Address the needs and provide support to our local, state and federal law enforcement agencies and to fully cooperate with all.

I presently reside in Springfield with my wife and our two children, coach soccer and I’m a New York Red Bulls fan. I am also a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, VFW Kenilworth Post 2230.

For the Office of Sheriff, I ask one thing of all Union County voters, vote the person and not the political party.

Thank you for your support.
