Play Reading by The Theater Project

The Theater Project will present a staged, script-in-hand reading of A Chance of a Lifetime, a new play by Luigi Jannuzzi. A Chance of a Lifetime concerns Millie, a wild-eyed dreamer, who convinces her roommate, Edna, to escape the nursing home and enter a world they’ve both forgotten. Luigi Jannuzzi has had 27 plays published by Samuel French: Exhibit This!: The Museum Comedies (13 one-act plays), All the King’s Women (eight one-act plays), Night of the Foolish MoonFor the Love of JulietA Bench at the EdgeThe Barbarians Are ComingThe Appointment, and With or Without You. He is a University of Notre Dame graduate and a member of the Dramatists Guild and the Authors Guild. Headquartered at the Burgdorff Center in Maplewood, The Theater Project is an acclaimed professional theater group and the winner of two New Jersey Tony Awards. The program is sponsored by the Friends of the Cranford Public Library. Admission is free and all are welcome.

Dog Found in Roselle Still Being Held at Newark Shelter

ROSELLE, NJ - A dog that was found on January 9, is still being held at the Newark Animal Shelter because no owner has claimed him. 

Roselle Police said the dog was found in the area of the Roselle side of Warinanco Park. The dog has a distinct blue eye and brown eye. Police also said the animal was checked and had no chip or tags.
