ELIZABETH, NJ - Neighborhoods throughout the City of Elizabeth are invited to join over 38 million neighbors across 16 thousand communities from all 50 states, U.S territories and military bases worldwide to participate in National Night Out.  

The annual community-building campaign promotes strong police-community partnership and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods a safer, more caring place to live and work.

Tuesday, August 6, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Join Mayor Bollwage, City Council members, municipal representatives, and community attendees.

The event will be held at Carteret Park located at Murray Street and Elmora Avenue and will feature health, safety and security exhibits as well as free refreshments and games, demonstrations, citizen awards, raffles and music. 

In addition to the celebration, Mayor Bollwage will also present a proclamation announcing August as Baseball Month. 

Beginning at approximately 8:15 p.m., there will be a family-friendly movie and residents are encouraged to bring their own seats or blankets.
