ROSELLE PARK, NJ - Thousands of people around the world were all dancing to Michael Jackson's “Thriller” on Saturday evening, and so were the many who came from all over the county to Roselle Park to dance in the very first local “Thrill the World” event.

While the weather threatened a possible cancellation, it did not stop this group of Zombies from descending into Dancers Pointe Dance Studio. Hosts of the event, studio owner Gloria Lorenzo along with Joe DeIorio and This Shipley of Out and About productions all from Roselle Park, said the show must go on!

So Lorenzo opened up her studio and with lights off, fog machines rolling, and DeIorio in costume, the show did go on.

The “Thrill the World” event is held every year around the world, and features groups getting together dressing as zombies and dancing at the same exact time to Michael Jackson's song, Thriller.

Instructors from Dancer’s Pointe offered dance lessons ahead of time to the zombies and others who wanted to jump in.

DeIorio and Shipley had participated in a prior Thrill the World NYC event and thought that it would be an exciting event to bring locally to Roselle Park and surrounding towns.
