ELIZABETH, NJ - Things are looking brighter at the Elmora Branch Library, and it’s not just your imagination!

With the help of the New Jersey Office of Clean Energy Direct Install Grant, the Elizabeth Public Library recently upgraded all the lighting at the Elmora Branch. Cost of the project is $2440 and is expected to generate over $3000 in savings each year.

Library officials said, the Library should recoup their investment in less than a year along with the other obvious benefit: A brighter, more light-filled branch.

Still to come will be HVAC upgrades that will create over $2,000 in energy savings each year. Very old and very inefficient furnace burners will be replaced at a savings of over $13,000.

“We are so pleased to bring these energy-saving and cost-saving measures to our community. Additional upgrades still in the planning stages, are expected at our main location,” said Library Officials.
