Free Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt is Inclusive of Special Needs Children

UNION COUNTY, NJ – Children, 12 years old and younger, including special needs children, are invited to the Second Annual Community Egg Hunt, hosted by Moving New Jersey Forward Foundation, Saturday, April 15, from 1p.m. to 3p.m. at Warinanco Park. 

Moving New Jersey Forward Foundation was created by Union County Freeholder Sergio Granados.

“We will also break up the egg hunt areas into different age categories of 4 and under, 5-8yrs old, 9-12yrs old,” said Granados. “We are also including a dedicated egg hunt area for people with special needs and their families that will have no age limit.”

Parking for the event will be at the lot between Gregory Woods Picnic Area and Henry Chatfield Memorial Garden.

“With such an amazing turnout last year we have expanded to have over 2,500 filled eggs, Granados said. 

Included in the event will be free live music, food, arts & crafts and games for the entire family.

*Children must be accompanied by an adult and must be 12 years of age or younger. 

Co-sponsors of the event are Prevention Links, New Birth Grand Lodge of NJ and the Union County Parks and Recreation Dept.
