Free Citizenship Workshop to be Held This Saturday in Elizabeth

ELIZABETH, NJ - A free Citizenship Workshop will be held this Saturday, March 24, at the Santa Isabel Lutheran Church from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. located at 908 East Jersey Street in Elizabeth.

The Citizenship Drive is an annual event that assists eligible residents to apply for naturalization. Immigration attorneys will be present to screen eligibility and trained volunteers will assist in the completion of applications.

Fee waiver information and forms will be available and all services are free to the public.  Pre-registration is required; call (888) 839-8682, or log on here to schedule an appointment.

Would you like to volunteer at this event? Needed are attorneys and non-legal volunteers to help assist the applicants.

Immigration Attorney Duties: Provide legal advice, screen applicants for eligibility, review completed applications, complete fee waivers. Are you an immigration attorney? Register HERE.

Non-Legal (non-attorney) Duties: Registration, completing N-400 (Naturalization) applications, line coordination, final check-out phase (making copies, packaging, etc). Are you an individual eager to help out your community? Register HERE.

This program is in partnership with NALEO Educational Fund, and in collaboration with the Hispanic Bar Association of NJ, Make the Road NJ, Jewish Family Services of Middlesex County NJ, and Santa Isabel Lutheran Church.
