Lifelong Elizabeth and Elizabeth Police to Hold  “Walking Safety ” Event

ELIZABETH, NJ - The Lifelong Elizabeth Program, under Jewish Family Service of Central NJ, will be holding another “Walking Safety Presentation” for Elizabeth residents on Thursday, April 26, from 11 a.m. to Noon, at the Elizabeth Public Library at 11 South Broad Street.

Elizabeth Police Department Sergeant Brian Clancy will provide participants with tips on walking safely and the benefits of wearing safety vests.  Each attendee will receive a free safety vest, courtesy of a grant from the Rotary Club of Elizabeth, NJ, the Grotta Fund for Senior Care, and Jewish Family Service of Central NJ.

The presentation and the Lifelong Elizabeth Program is made possible through a grant from the Grotta Fund for Senior Care.  Lifelong Elizabeth is a community-led, city endorsed initiative that aims to make our city an age-friendly community that is a great place to grow up and grow old.

Jewish Family Service of Central NJ is a non-sectarian health and social service agency providing a vast array of personalized services to 7,000 individuals a year in Union County, NJ.

Light refreshments will be served.  Kosher Dietary laws observed.

Goethals Bridge to New Jersey to be Closed Friday Night through Sunday

ELIZABETH, NJ - The Goethals Bridge to New Jersey will be closed to all traffic beginning 9 p.m. Friday, May 18 until 9 p.m. Sunday, May 20.
