ELIZABETH, NJ — According to unofficial results, incumbent Mayor J. Christian Bollwage has 80% of the vote so far with 99% of mail-in ballots counted. 

Mayor Bollwage will be running unopposed in the November general election if these results hold. First elected in 1992, this will be Bollwage’s 8th term as Mayor of Elizabeth.

Challengers Jared A. Pietz and Carlos M. Trujillo won a combined total of 1,234 votes compared to 5,252 for Bollwage.
