ELIZABETH, NJ - Food lovers had a lot to look forward to on Monday night at the Rotary Club of Elizabeth’s 13th Annual “Taste of Elizabeth” event. The event gives businesses from all over Union County and beyond a chance to come out and show off their culinary talents and products. 

“Our 13th annual Taste of Elizabeth may very well be the best one yet. There was no shortage of restaurants, and other food and beverage vendors that look to participate, and we consistently get well over 300 guests who enjoy a terrific meal,” said Doug Harris, Chairman of the Taste of Elizabeth. “The ultimate beneficiary is our community, as all proceeds go to deserving organizations that serve the great people of Elizabeth.”

The event hosted at the Renaissance Hotel in Elizabeth gave everyone that came out, a chance to taste food from some of the best restaurants in Union County such as:

This year the Rotary Club of Elizabeth is celebrating 102 years of service to the Greater Elizabeth Community. Funds from the event enables the Rotary Club to continue to provide financial grants to local non-profit agencies and to provide college scholarships through the Albert & Louise Davis Scholarship Fund of the Rotary Club of Elizabeth, Inc.  Since its founding in 1986, the Davis Fund has provided a total of $608,000 in scholarships to 338 students.
