UPDATE: Meadowbrook Court Incident Resolved Safely; Summit Police Say Victim Has Been Taken to Hospital

SUMMIT, NJ - The tense afternoon situation that involved a woman barricading herself inside a Meadowbrook Court residence with a firearm today has been resolved safely.

A Summit Police Department Nixle Alert at 3:53 p.m. stated, "Situation on Meadowbrook Court is now resolved. Victim is being transported to hospital. No injuries."

Saturday Morning Robbery at Shell Gas Station Leaves Taxi Driver Injured, Suspects Arrested

ELIZABETH, NJ - An early morning robbery Saturday left a taxi driver shot in the arm, according to a spokeswoman for the City of Elizabeth. 

According to the city spokeswoman, the taxi driver was shot as a result of a robbery. The suspects were caught and have been arrested.
