ELIZABETH, NJ--Police are investigating an armed robbery report after a man says he was robbed at gunpoint while pumping gas officials said.

According to police, on Nov 27, officers responded to call at the Eastwick Gas Station, located at 401 Jefferson Avenue, for a report of an armed robbery. When patrol units arrived, they met with the male victim who told them that as he was pumping gas when a young Hispanic male approached him with a handgun and stole cash and his cellphone.

Police said the suspect was last seen fleeing the scene in a Honda Pilot.

In a separate incident, police were called to a Lukoil gas station after a vehicle sped away from the station without paying for gas.

According to police, both incidents are under investigation. Anyone with information on either incident is asked to contact Detective James Szpond at (908) 558-2040.
