SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- The Scotch Plains-Fanwood boys swim team continued its strong season with a win over Elizabeth, 96-69, at the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA (FSPY) on Wednesday, Jan. 8. The Raiders started fast and never looked back. 

After Scotch Plains-Fanwood won the 200 Medley Relay, sophomore Gavin Morrobel took the 200 Free, freshman Thomas Yick won the 200 IM, and senior Ethan Morrobel took the 50 Free. Elizabeth's Rafael Felix broke into the win column with a victory in the 100 Fly. Freshman Jay Slack won his first 500 Free.

Alfredo Rojas was the star for Elizabeth with wins in the 100 Breast and the 400 Free Relay as the anchor swimmer.

"Alfredo owns every individual record (for our school), except the 100 Fly, and he's getting close," said Elizabeth swim coach Lisa Scarpato.
